Seth Allen Peterson

Composer / Teacher

I have always had a vibrant imagination, and never been satisfied to rest while there are projects to build, places to explore, and stories to create. As a composer, teacher and performer my goal is to channel this God-given creativity in a way that captures peoples’ imagination, engages them, brings them into a community of people, and creates life-changing experiences.

I have teaching experience both privately and in the school setting, and love to collaborate with others and see them grow musically. After college I traveled through the states, leading music for an evangelistic team. My music has been performed by college choirs, orchestras, brass ensembles, and folk groups. My currently published music can be found through Heart Publications and the Bill Rice Ranch.

My Education background includes a bachelor’s degree in music education from Northland International University and a graduate degree in composition from The School of Church Music and Worship at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Although a northerner at heart, I currently live near Fort Worth, TX with my wife and three children where we enjoy biking, eating popsicles, and exploring the city. I serve as the Minister of Music at Faith Baptist Church in Duncanville, TX.

Deanna Peterson

Teacher / Performer

I was born and raised in Alberta, Canada, but for the past five years I have lived in Texas with my family. At the age of seven I began taking piano lessons and in high school took private voice lessons. My love for music and natural talent drew me to choose a music degree once I went into college. In 2011 I graduated from Northland International University with my bachelors in Voice Pedagogy and in 2014 I graduated from Bob Jones University with my Masters in Voice Performance. Side note, I also met Seth in undergrad and fell madly in love. 😉

My performance experience ranges from singing solos in church, to being a main character in a community musical theatre play, to being an understudy in a full scale opera during grad school. I love performing and sharing the gift of music with any audience size and age. Having a healthy classical background has allowed me to have a solid foundation for singing many genres of music, but my favorite genres are classical and broadway.

I have taught private voice lessons since 2011 and have worked with singers from seven to over sixty years of age. I love teaching one on one and developing the individual voices of my students. No one's voice is created equal. Freedom and relaxation are top goals in my studio. Having a strong foundation of healthy techniques and removing bad habits has allowed my students to reach their vocal goals--whether that is freedom from asthma or recovering your upper range after years of unhealthy singing. The reward of seeing my students accomplish personal goals both vocally and personally has prompted me to continue growing my vocal studio on top of being a stay at home mom. P.S I have three Beautiful and energetic children.
