  1. Shema

This piece has been written in the Klazmir style using the words of the Shema, a profound scripture reading in jewish education. Common joys and griefs pull against the heart of humanity. They are reenactments of the past and echoes of the future; shaped uniquely, tugging deeply, silently, needing to be heard. Through the mundane wanderings of everyday life the power of one experience has the potential to alter the outcome of a whole life. One single experience bursts with potential to change. Like an epiphany the experience tantalizes the senses: sweet like honey, fragrant as the flowers of spring, warm as the breeze on a summer day. One cannot go forward the same. Caught in the moment the very earth around seems to erupt in jubilant dancing. Fractured by a moment that changes perception and leaves you breathless.
